Roland-Garros encarga un cartel oficial cada año desde 1980, firmado por un artista distinto (Eduardo Arroyo en 1981, Hans Hartung en 1983, Antoni Tàpies en 1991, Joan Miró de forma póstuma también en 1991). Wimbledon, más discreto, lo dejó en manos de las agencias publicitarias. El US Open usa fotografías. Los Internacionales de Italia en el Foro Italico de Roma conservaron la estética Art Déco más tiempo.

La estética Belle Époque y Art Déco del tenis, llevada a casa. Paletas de verde pista y ocre, marcos de roble, y las habitaciones donde un póster de pista encuentra su sitio.
Desde 1980, cada edición del torneo tiene su propio cartel, firmado por un artista diferente. Un recorrido por un encargo público que ha hecho dialogar el arte contemporáneo con la tierra batida.
Antes de la fotografia deportiva, la ilustracion reinaba en los carteles deportivos. Una estetica del gesto y la velocidad que sigue funcionando en todos los interiores.
