About Montmartre Poster
Montmartre Poster is a European gallery devoted to fine-art reproduction: a cabinet of posters chosen one by one, where graphic precision meets a love of well-made things. The name is a tribute to Montmartre, the Parisian hillside where so much of the modern poster was born, from cabarets to artists' studios. Our posters carry that heritage forward and make it accessible, on the walls of today.
Our work begins with the eye. We explore Art Deco, vintage travel and railway posters, vintage tennis and sport, Japanese-inspired art, vintage advertising, the cut-outs of Matisse and the spirit of the Bauhaus. Each work earns its place for the strength of its composition and its role within a history of the image. Our editorial Journal tells the story of these movements and the artists who shaped them.
Material quality matters as much as the choice. Our posters are printed in Europe on 275 g/m2 fine-art paper with a matte finish, museum quality and FSC-certified. Sizes run from 21x30 to 84x119 cm, with an optional solid-wood frame in oak, black or white. Shipping is free across the European Union in 2 to 6 days, with free returns within 90 days. These are open-edition reproductions, made to last.
Behind this selection there is a point of view: that of Cedric des Lauriers, art director and curator of the house, who watches over every print and over the catalogue as a whole. We invite you to wander the gallery at your own pace and perhaps to begin with our Japonisme collection, one of our most cherished series.
