Affiches de tournois, posters de stades, gestes sportifs traités comme des sculptures Art Déco. Nos affiches de sport racontent une histoire commune : le sport et l'affiche ont grandi ensemble. Cassandre signe des affiches sportives dans les années 30. Le Comité international olympique commande des affiches officielles depuis 1924. Roland-Garros lance sa série d'artistes commissionnés en 1980 (Arroyo en 1981, Hartung en 1983, Tàpies en 1991).

For sportsfotografiet dominerede illustrationen sportsplakaten. En aestetik af gest og fart, der stadig fungerer i alle indretninger.
Siden 1980 har hver udgave af turneringen haft sin egen plakat, signeret af en anden kunstner. Et overblik over en offentlig bestilling, der har sat samtidskunst og grusbane i dialog.
